Cross River people don express serious vex say for Federal Polytechnic, Ugep, no indigene emerge as Rector, even though plenty qualified Cross River candidates participate for di selection. Di matter don make stakeholders question di fairness and transparency of di Governing Council wey Florence Ita Giwa dey head.

One of di candidates wey many people believe deserve di job na Dr Okimba Peter Etaba from Obubra. People talk say him strong academically and perform well for both screening and interview. Dem believe say him appointment go help di school grow and also strengthen relationship with di host community, plus give Cross River fair representation for federal polytechnic leadership.
